Events Sensors - Environmental Monitoring Modules
Every day networks go down because high temperature or humidity causes a network component to fail. EventSensor ES-1 through ES-5 are modular, self-contained devices that employ on-board environmental sensors to monitor these threatening physical conditions. They help protect your servers, phone systems and critical data from a variety of threats, especially in unmanned rooms and after work hours.
EventSensor modules enhance the monitoring capabilities of the Omnitronix SNMP-Link Model units, which monitor the EventSensor modules and transmit alarm messages via modem, pager or network to your network management software.
Protect your Mission-Critical Equipment from Environmental Hazards
- You can specify EventSensor modules with configurations that employ built-in temperature and humidity sensors.
- EventSensor modules can warn you before harm is done to your valuable equipment.
- Your network is at risk unless your monitoring system can recognize common environmental hazards.
Contact Closures Expand your Monitoring Capabilities
- Some EventSensor modules come with eight contact closure inputs to incorporate a variety of other sensors.
- Almost immediately you can monitor water sensors, smoke detectors, air flow, etc. Ask us for a list of sensors.
- Contact closure alarms are quick and easy to set up.
- Run a paired wire between EventSensor modules and any device that contains a dry contact closure output. They are everywhere, look through your equipment room.
Advantages of a Modular System
- The SNMP-Link Model can power up to 16 inexpensive EventSensor modules that connect in daisy chains on modified RJ11 phone cables. Click here to see a diagram.
- Utilize your existing phone lines to connect EventSensors in remote rooms with no cabling costs!
- Our modular “add-on” system eliminates redundant hardware so you don’t have to pay for it.
Output Relay Modules
Don’t send a tech to the site to flip a switch. Omnitronix EventSensor modules can go there for you.
EventSensor ES-9 and ES-10 are optional, modular devices that employ eight output relays (ES-9) and eight open collector outputs (ES-10) each to turn on/off devices in remote locations. When deployed from a complementary SNMP-Link Remote Site Manager, ES-9 and ES-10 greatly improve your ability to manage your facilities, especially in unmanned rooms.
Add Start/Stop Functions to Unmanned Sites
- You can control the output relays manually from your network management system, or trigger output relay actions automatically when an alarm condition is met.
- Configure your system to activate an air conditioning unit automatically when your EventSensor detects that the temperature in a remote room has exceeded a defined threshold.
